Chemical Nature of Selenium in Agricultural Drainage
Sediments and its Implications for Bioavailability (R.M. Higashi
and R.G.
Flocchini). This research probes the selenium chemical forms
that are involved in food chain accumulation at the lower trophic
levels, in particular the vast pools in the sediment. The research
will identify the key chemical forms to be avoided, so it can
provide vital direction to management strategy of selenium-contaminated
rivers, streams, canals, and basins in the San Joaquin Valley.
